Summer Playing Opportunies

Summer is a great time to get ahead with private lessons, make music with friends in a local orchestra, or discover new experiences in an immersive camp. Whatever your child’s favorite way to play, you can keep them going this summer with one of the programs below!

At Beekman Violin

Dates: Monday, July 13th – Saturday August 22nd (6 weeks) – meeting times will be assigned according to participant availability.

Where: the Beekman Violin studio – 1058 Kingstown Rd, Peace Dale, RI – entrance on Columbia Street side of the building

Who can participate: string players of all ages. 2+ years experience recommended.

Summer Orchestras

  • When: TBA – check back for updates!
  • Where: TBA (usually Broad Rock School or the South Kingstown Guild)
  • Who can participate: string players of all ages with at least 1 year of playing experience. Participants will be assigned to an ensemble that fits their playing level.
  • To register: Registration through the South Kingstown Recreation Dept will be available starting in May

  • When: Tuesdays 5:30-7:30pm, June 23th – August 11th
  • Where: Moses Brown School (school enrollment not required)
  • Who can participate: string players with at least 1 year of playing experience.

Summer Strings Camps

  • When: July 19th – August 2nd
  • Where: URI Kingston Campus
  • Who can participate: musicians who have completed grades 7-12 in June of 2026
